Since our inception in 1990 as Cook Composites and Polymers, we have continually strengthened our manufacturing and research capacities, product depth, and distribution networks through a series of business arrangements, major capital investments, and acquisitions. We look forward to continued growth and expansion in the coming years.
Beginning in 1990, Cook Composites and Polymers has shared a joint venture with TCI, which operates within the chemicals division of Total, a multibillion dollar oil, gas, refining, chemical, mineral, mining and trading company based in Paris, France. In 1999, Total acquired PetroFina and, in 2000, Elf Aquitaine. Now the leading petrochemicals producer in Europe, Total is also one of the world's leading petrochemicals companies. The fifth largest publicly-traded integrated international oil and gas company and a world-class chemicals manufacturer, Total operates in more than 130 countries and has 92,855 employees.

On July 1st, 2011, the Polymers division of Cook Composites & Polymers was sold to Arkema in order to enable both to focus more on their individual specialties. On the same date, all the composites activities of the Total group became structured into one entity: CCP Composites. Our company integrated this structure and changed its name to CCP Composites US.

The world's largest and leading producer of polyester gel coats, CCP formed the largest composites distributor network in North America in 1999. The network combined the following distributors:

Composites Materials, Inc. (CMI)
Santa Fe Springs, California

R.P. Associates, LLC
Bristol, Rhode Island

Progress Plastics
Mississauga, Ontario
East Coast Fibre Glass
Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia

Progress Plastiques
Drummondville, Quebec

CIE and Arkem Compagnie, Inc
Drummondville, Quebec

United Fiberglass Distributors, Inc.
Downsview, Ontario

A subsequent joint venture with GLS created Composites One, the world's largest composites and cast polymer distributor.
